The Center has invested the last 7 years identifying and creating tools BBB members need to intentionally assess and build character ethics within their workplace. We have also researched years of data to determine the qualities the BBB elevates and judges to ultimately confer the coveted Torch Award. In the midst of this we have also researched how a BBB either fulfills (or contradicts) all of these principles via its own internal practices…and how a BBB office corrects these faults.
These observations led to the refinement of two essential (current work force) frameworks to move BBB accredited members from "intuition to intention". The BBB’s UncommonSense framework is a guide or rubric for understanding the key factors that build or destroy interpersonal trust. The BBB EthicalEnterprising framework is a guide that provides the six essential practices that BBB Torch Awardees use to build corresponding organizational trust. The BBB Ethical Enterprising Survey Index provides confidential individual business progress feedback regarding the second framework and aggregated data that allows a BBB Center to get a sense of objective progress in moving their service-area organizations (profit and non-profit) from "intuition to intention".
